Give every month and put service dogs with Veterans

Monthly gifts let SWAM keep funding service dogs and allow the organizations that train them to plan ahead.

Your gift reaches Veterans through proven partners.
Organizations SWAM funds in New Hampshire and across the country provide shelter, scholarships, retreats and service dogs.

At $25 a month you join Team SWAM.
Members get an official SWAM membership card, an exclusive SWAM challenge coin, 10% off SWAM gear, and an annual membership appreciation gift.

How your monthly gift puts a service dog with a Veteran

A service dog trains for months before it goes home with a Veteran. Monthly gifts keep money coming to SWAM the whole time.

Twelve weeks
A rescued dog learns the basics at Operation Delta Dog in Hollis.

Four to six more weeks
The dog and a Veteran living with PTSD, traumatic brain injury or military sexual trauma train together at least twice a week.

For the life of the dog
The dog moves in with the Veteran, and Operation Delta Dog stays involved.

Every month
Your gift comes in, so how many dogs SWAM can fund does not rise and fall with a single event.

Why a monthly gift does more

The same total over a year reaches Veterans more reliably when it arrives a little at a time.

SWAM can plan around it.
Monthly gifts give SWAM steady money to grant, so it can commit to the organizations that apply each year.

Programs can plan too.
Retreats, shelter beds and service dog training are scheduled months ahead. Predictable support makes that easier.

A monthly gift is easy to keep up.
A small amount each month fits a budget that a single large gift may not, and you can change or cancel it any time.

One monthly gift reaches Veterans through many organizations

SWAM grants money to Veteran service organizations that provide service dogs, housing, retreats and mental health care. A grant committee reviews every application for need, capacity and impact, so your gift goes where it can help most.

Questions about giving

  • Veteran service organizations apply for a SWAM grant each year between July 1 and September 30. SWAM's Grant Committee reviews every application for mission alignment, demonstrated need, organizational capacity and potential impact on the Veteran community, and recipients are announced in the fall.

SWAM also hosts an annual VSO Summit that brings Veteran organizations, the VA and local leaders into one room to find gaps in care. The current focus is mental health and reducing veteran suicide. SWAM funds retreats that bring veterans together and as many service dogs as it can. See the 2025 grant recipients.

  • SWAM is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, so gifts are generally tax deductible. Keep your confirmation email for your records.

  • Yes. Email info@swam.org and we will change or cancel it.
